Charles M. Poser (1923–2009) was a renowned American neurologist known for his significant contributions to understanding and treating multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurological disorders.

Poser graduated from the University of Chicago Medical School and completed his neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. He held academic positions at Harvard Medical School and served as Chief of Neurology at Boston City Hospital (now Boston Medical Center).

Throughout his career, Poser conducted groundbreaking research on MS, improving its classification and diagnosis. He also studied the disease’s epidemiology and environmental factors.

Poser was recognized for his compassionate patient care and advocacy for MS. He actively participated in MS research and patient support organizations.
